Do you own a Tracker?
« on: July 23, 2010, 04:42:06 PM »
Based on a recent conversation with another forum member, we couldn't believe the numbers of trackers on the water.  Wanted to take a quick poll to see just how many they are.  And yeah, the Nitro boys like me are in that category too.

Yes.  I own a Javelin, and rarely use the tracker, but when something goes wrong with the Javelin the Tracker is always ready.  It's been my most reliable boat by far.  Don't really need it, but hate to think of parting ways with it.

I gave up my tracker this year for more room, storage, speed, range, and tools. The tracker, by far, is probably one of the best selling boats out there for the average fisherman. I had this one (in the family) for 13 years. A great starter boat and i learned a lot with outboards, electronics, fuel systems, and even re-carpeting with this boat. A great pond boat, and my 17 footer with a 60hp merc held its own on these rivers too!

All I smell Is Jealousy, I do 52 In my Tracker Have all lots of room to fish and Payed Half for what you all Nitro or Skeeter's Payed. I will out fish 21 footers... and for what?  $20,000 and up. Come on get real. Monarck, G3 and the all the other off brands, The only wish I see is that the Hulls of these boats are Screaming...  Please Trade me in for a Tracker. #1 Selling Bass boat in the Continental U.S. Although I do not care much for Johnny Morris. I only wish I would have had enough money for the Optimax.  Go- Tracker

I have owned my Nitro since 04 or 05, and it has been a very dependable and economical boat to own. Top speed of about 50, 40 sq feet of lockable storage, under the seat storage (wet or dry) and since I paid cash, NO PAYMENT BOOK!!

I run a Tracker Grizzly 1654 good fishing and hunting boat. The 25 merc is a little small but you live and learn.

16lbs of fish.  Thats what coolers and airators are for. Just make another livewell.  I'll give it to the big boats there nice and make things easier but theres not much they can do that a little boat can't.   and like every one always says the fish don't know what boat your in.  Didn't someone win an Elite this year running an aluminum boat? Wonder what types of looks and laughs he got that first day?

In my opinion Delaware is perfect for Trackers.  The only two places I have fished that I wouldnt feel comfortable running everywhere in is on the Potomac and the Sassafras. But even on those rivers there is still plenty accessable fishing water.  On the Potaomac guys have won 3 or 4 day tournaments without ever leaving Mattowoman and If you put in at Georgetown on the Sass you got plenty of spots to fish without hitting big water.

I think my post above may have been misinterpreted by a few! I am NOT against anyone owning a tracker, or saying a glass boat is better. Hell i won a state championship out of my Tracker. I personally just needed everything more that the glass boat gives me over the smaller tracker.

Hell yeah Trackers (OR SIMILAR) are great for Delaware ponds! Hands down! If i stuck mainly to the ponds i would still be in my Tracker. I want more out of my boat and fishing and my new Skeeter gives me the range to do what i want.

As for the livewell, adding a cooler to an already smaller boat with livewell is pointless, and we'd be talking one big friggin cooler for 16 pounds of fish. if you're adding a cooler because there is no livewell, thats a different story, and good ol fashion engineering!

and the Skeeter looks sweeeet!
